Golden Hour in the Garden – Sketchbook Study
This sketchbook study documents the exploration and development behind Golden Hour in the Garden. The five images show the same page at different stages, capturing how I experimented with composition, colour, line and mark-making, gradually building and refining the relationships between the flowers, foliage and garden structure. Working directly in my sketchbook allowed me to experiment freely and respond to the image as it developed. The completed study provided the visual direction for the final artwork.
